something new!

I just taught myself to double-knit! Criminy, it's easy! Time consuming, but easy. I'm making a DK square, with 2 garter st on all sides.

I'm thinking of using a bunch of my scrap yarn, making a bunch of squares, but putting a piece of quilt batting in each little pouch before I do the final 2 rows. Stitch the squares together - kind of a knitted patchwork quilt. Good Lord, that would be a warm blanket!!
