It's been a fibery 24 hours!!

This morning I took a bunch of fleece to a new processor, Morningstar Fiber in Apple Creek, Ohio. She is going to be at The Great Lakes Fiber Show in May, and I'm going to demonstrate in her booth! She does BEAUTIFUL Icelandic roving, and can also spin your fiber into yarn for you. She is also going to let me bring some of my lotions, creams and such to sell! Karen is a very, very nice lady, and wonderful to work with.

On the way home, I stopped at Sally's Shop in Wadsworth, and bought a Rosewood spindle from Grafton Fibers. I am spindle challenged, and hope that maybe having a nice spindle will help me overcome the urge to throw it out the window. I also bought 1-1/2 lbs of Lamb's Pride mill ends - it has a date with the drum carder very soon.

Last night, Borders had ONE copy of The Yarn Harlot's new book! I've almost finished it - I have about 10 pages to go. It's a great book - I highly recommend it!!

Here's my haul for the day:

I immediately started spinning the Icelandic Thel - and immediately got nearly laceweight. It's beautiful stuff!

And Rambo decided to help. I'm waiting for the vet bill when he actually *catches* one of Queen Matilda's spokes.

And a marriage proposal that really made my day. :-)

Hi!

I noticed that you have a Kromski Minstrel wheel in your blog pictures. That is the wheel that I am most interested in buying and I was wondering if you could tell me how well you do or don't like it. Or just any other information you might want to pass on about this wheel.

Please feel free to email me at shykat @ comcastdotnet Just remove the spaces and replace dot with the usual. :) Also, my blog can be seen at http://desertknitter.blogspot.com

Thank you.
